Sliding patio doors — supply only, delivered in about a week
Sliding patio doors, supplied only, delivered in about a week.

Two-pane sliders give you half the opening. Four-pane sliders on a triple track give you three quarters, because three panes stack behind one. Aluminium takes the biggest panes; uPVC is the value option and perfectly sound at ordinary domestic sizes.

Sliding patio doors — questions we get asked
How much of the opening actually opens?
About half on a standard two-pane slider, because one pane slides behind the other. A four-pane triple track gets you to roughly three quarters. If you want more than that, you want a bi-fold.
Are sliding doors secure?
Modern ones are. The things that matter are multipoint hook locks that engage into the frame, anti-lift blocks so the pane cannot be jacked off its track, and laminated glass if the door is out of sight from the road.
Aluminium or uPVC for a slider?
Aluminium if the panes are large or you want slim sightlines — it is stiffer, so it carries big glass without deflecting. uPVC is the value choice and fine at normal domestic widths.
What is lift and slide?
A different gear where turning the handle lifts the whole pane off its seals before it moves, then drops it back down onto them. Heavy panes move more easily and it seals better when shut. It costs more.
Can I replace just the glass in an existing slider?
If the frame is sound and only the sealed unit has misted, yes — that is a glass order, not a door order. Send us the dimensions and the spacer thickness.
