A composite door is a solid timber core wrapped in a glass-reinforced plastic skin, usually 44mm thick, hung on a reinforced uPVC or aluminium outer frame. It is the door most people mean when they say they want a new front door: it does not warp like timber, does not go chalky like early uPVC, and it takes a multipoint lock without any fuss.

We hold 72 face designs across four collections. Every one of them can be ordered as a supply-only door set — slab, frame, hinges, lock, cylinder and handle, made to your opening size and delivered to your door. If you would rather we fitted it, we can, but you are not obliged to take fitting to get the price.

Structural opening width and height, and a photo if you have one. No survey, no appointment, no salesperson at your kitchen table.

A written price with the specification on it, and a real delivery date. If something in your measurements does not add up, we query it before anything is cut.

Made to your sizes in our standard range. Standard colours are what hold the one-week turnaround.

Delivered — or fitted
Delivered to your address or collected from Birmingham. If you want it fitted, that is booked separately and priced on the same quote.

Composite doors — questions we get asked

Can I buy a composite door without installation?

Yes — that is the normal way we sell them. You get the complete door set: slab, frame, hinges, multipoint lock, cylinder, handle and any glazing, made to your sizes. Fitting is a separate line you can take or leave.

What size do I order?

Measure the structural opening — brick to brick, and floor or threshold to the underside of the lintel. Do not measure the old frame. We take that opening size off you and make the frame to suit, allowing the fitting tolerance ourselves.

Do composite doors need painting?

No. The colour runs through the GRP skin, so a scratch does not show white underneath and there is nothing to repaint. Wash it twice a year and lubricate the lock and hinges.

Is a composite door more secure than uPVC?

Generally yes, because the solid core resists being kicked through in a way a hollow uPVC panel does not. The bigger security factor is the cylinder — a TS007 1-star cylinder in a 2-star handle, or a 3-star cylinder on its own, is what stops snapping.

Can I get a composite door in a colour that is not on the site?

Usually. Standard colours are the ones that hold the one-week lead time. Anything outside the standard range is made to order and takes longer — tell us the RAL or BS number and we will confirm the lead time before you commit.
