Hardwood external doors, supplied only, delivered in about a week.
These are engineered hardwood — a laminated core with a solid hardwood face — rather than solid one-piece timber, because engineered stock is far more stable through a British winter and will not twist on a south-facing elevation. They come primed or unfinished. If you want them finished in a specific colour, say so at order and we will price it.

Send your sizes
Structural opening width and height, and a photo if you have one. No survey, no appointment, no salesperson at your kitchen table.

We price it and confirm
A written price with the specification on it, and a real delivery date. If something in your measurements does not add up, we query it before anything is cut.

We build it
Made to your sizes in our standard range. Standard colours are what hold the one-week turnaround.

Delivered — or fitted
Delivered to your address or collected from Birmingham. If you want it fitted, that is booked separately and priced on the same quote.
Hardwood doors — questions we get asked
Do hardwood doors need more maintenance?
Yes, and that is the honest trade-off. Expect to recoat every three to five years, sooner on an exposed south or west elevation. In exchange you get a door that can be repaired, re-planed and refinished rather than replaced.
Will a conservation officer accept these?
Usually, where a composite would be refused — but always check the specific consent before ordering. Some Article 4 directions specify glazing bar profiles and sightlines, not just material.
Can I paint them any colour?
Yes. Order primed and paint on site, or tell us the colour and we will finish them in the factory, which lasts longer because the edges get sealed properly.
Are hardwood doors as thermally efficient as composite?
Close, but composite usually edges it because of the insulated core. Timber is a reasonable insulator in its own right, and the difference across a single front door is small.
Is the timber sustainably sourced?
We can supply FSC-certified stock on request — say so at order and the certification comes with the delivery paperwork.
